So you may be asking yourselves, "Hey Chucky, are you referring to the republican or democrat base?" And my answer would be a resounding, "Yes!" I mean like, come on folks! Donald Trump? Seriously? The republican base backing a pro-choice New York liberal who uses eminent domain to steal private property to enrich his own bank account while donating considerably more money to democrats than republicans is a bit over-the-top. I have to believe Trump spends his nights laughing his hiney off at the fact that the yokels actually buy into his steaming pile of crap. He's giving the folks the show they want, and there is no one better. Trump is a lying evil genius who has managed to convince a significant percentage of the republican base that they actually enter into his thought process, that he cares about them, that he is one of them. It would be laughable if it were not so sad.
And then there's Hillary. The ultimate Wall Street lackey. She has brilliantly tricked the majority of the democrat base to believe that Wall Street is not the constituency that she values above all others. There is a reason she will never support reinstating Glass-Steagall, her hubby's ultimate attack on the middle class (along with his partners in crime, Summers, Geitner and Rubin). And like her neo-con brethren and sistren (sistren? Is that a word?), she has shown her willingness to topple regimes she does not like without any thought to the aftermath. A vote for Hillary is a vote for insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. If there were any part of me inclined to support Hillary (and there isn't), I would vote republican because at least (Trump excluded) they are honest enough to pit an "R" after their name.
So there you have it. A choice between Trump and Hillary takes the concept of "voting for the lesser of 2 evils" to a ridiculous extreme. Neither is who they claim to be, but both are expert dopplegangers practiced at selling an image of themselves to a desperate base whose only concern is the letter after their name.
